1. Standard Warranty Coverage
1.1 Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, UCOM Telecom Pty Ltd agrees to replace or repair the Product in circumstances where the Product does not perform in accordance with UCOM Telecom specifications during the Standard Warranty period of 12 months.
1.2 The benefits provided to you by this contractual product warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the law.
1.3 Proof of purchase must be provided when requesting service during the Warranty Period.

2. Customer Obligations
2.1 Customers must comply with directions from UCOM Telecom staff in relation to troubleshooting any issue and facilitating any repair or replacement.
2.2 Where Product(s) are already faulty or damaged upon delivery, photographic evidence must be submitted to UCOM Telecom before the Product(s) will be repaired or replaced.
2.3 The Customer is responsible for inspecting all goods received from UCOM Telecom upon arrival.
2.4 Any transit damage must be reported within 3 days of receipt. Failure to report within this period may result in denial of warranty for physical damage.

3. Repair, Replacement, Credit or Refund
3.1 If UCOM Telecom is unable to repair or replace the Product, the customer will be provided with a store credit or refund of the purchase price of the Product (excluding delivery costs).
3.2 In the event of a replacement, refund, or store credit, the faulty item will become the property of UCOM Telecom.

4. Exclusions – Warranty Does Not Apply To:
4.1 Consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that naturally diminish over time, unless failure is due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
4.2 Cosmetic damage, including packaging or exterior surfaces (including during transit).
4.3 Damage caused by use with another product.
4.4 Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake, or other external cause.
4.5 Damage caused by operating the Product outside published guidelines.
4.6 Damage caused by unauthorised service, upgrades, or expansions.
4.7 Products modified without written permission of UCOM Telecom, including custom firmware or software.
4.8 Defects due to normal wear and tear or the normal ageing of the Product.
4.9 Removal or defacement of serial numbers.
4.10 Stolen products, or where UCOM Telecom reasonably believes the product is stolen.
4.11 Where proof of purchase cannot be provided.

5. Additional Exclusions – Specific Conditions
5.1 Products not installed, operated, maintained, or used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
5.2 Altered or removed factory-applied serial numbers.
5.3 Damage or failure due to alterations (hardware or software), misuse, fire, liquid spillage, incorrect voltage, power surges, storms, vermin, insects, or corrosive environments.
5.4 Damage arising during transportation, installation, or movement of the Product (unless otherwise specified).
5.5 Third-party software or hardware not originally supplied with the Product.
5.6 Failures not related to the Product’s ability to perform in accordance with specifications.
5.7 Replacement or repair of consumables, lost parts, or accessories.
5.8 Service and support of software, operating systems, or applications (except restoring factory default settings).
5.9 Service of any product located outside Australia.

6. Costs and Determinations
6.1 UCOM Telecom may seek reimbursement where Products are found to be in good working order or where Standard Warranty does not apply.
6.2 UCOM Telecom has discretion (subject to law) to determine whether any Product is or is not performing in accordance with its specifications.

7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 To the full extent permitted by law:
    a) UCOM Telecom is not liable for loss, damage, or alterations to third-party hardware, software, data, or information stored on any media or Product.
    b) UCOM Telecom is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue, or use.
    c) Aggregate liability under Standard Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
    d) All other warranties, conditions, terms, representations, and undertakings (express or implied) are excluded.

8. Governing Law
8.1 This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
8.2 The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts in that State.
